Stuffed peppers in aluminum foil

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 6 large bell peppers
  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 m.-sized carrot(s)
  • 1 m.-sized potato(s)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3 tbsp durum wheat semolina
  • 100 ml tomato juice
  • 1 bunch of herbs
  • salt and pepper

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Wash the peppers and cut off the tops. Deseed, rinse, and pat dry. Peel and finely grate the vegetables for the filling. Finely chop the herbs. Thoroughly mix all the filling ingredients. Stuff the peppers with the minced meat mixture. Wrap each pepper in two layers of aluminum foil, leaving a 1 cm opening at the top. Place the peppers in a casserole dish or on a baking sheet and bake at 180°C for about 45 minutes. Serve with rice and herb crème fraîche.
