Green Bean Sambal – Sambal Buncis

The perfect green bean sambal – sambal buncis recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

The solid components:

  • 16 Green beans, fresh or frozen
  • 4 small Onions, red
  • 1 Hot peppers, red, long, mild
  • 1 smaller Chilli, green, fresh or frozen

For the dressing:

  • 3 medium-sized Cloves of garlic, fresh
  • 2 tbsp Spring roll sauce, Thailand
  • 1 tbsp Rice Wine, (Arak Masak)
  • 2 tbsp Sesame oil, light
  • 1 tbsp Oyster sauce, (Saus Tiram)
  • 1 tsp Chicken broth, Kraft bouillon

To garnish:

  • Dill, fresh
  • Flowers and leaves

Prepare ingredients:

  1. Wash fresh green beans, cap both ends, blanch for 5 minutes and chop diagonally into pieces approx. 2 cm wide. Cut frozen goods to length in the same way. Cap the small, red onions at both ends, peel them and cut or slice them into thin slices. Remove the stems from the red peppers, wash them, cut in half lengthways, remove the grains and the partitions and cut the halves crosswise into pieces approx. Wash the small, green chilli, cut into thin slices, leave the grains in place, discard the stem.

The dressing:

  1. For the dressing, cap the garlic cloves at both ends, peel and press through a garlic press and mix with the remaining ingredients

Complete:

  1. Put the ingredients for the sambal in a bowl. Add the dressing 15 minutes before serving, mix in, garnish and serve cool.
