Green Bean Stew …

The perfect green bean stew … recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

For the broth:

  • 2 liter Boiling water
  • 1 Lamb wagtail
  • 300 g Saddle of lamb on the bone
  • 0,5 Roasted onion
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Salt

Aside from that:

  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Fresh root parsley
  • 3 Potatoes
  • 250 g Green beans
  • 2 teaspoon Savory
  • 1 Spring onion
  • 1 bunch Chopped parsley
  1. Put the meat in the boiling water, bring to the boil briefly, add the roasted onion and season with salt and pepper and let it simmer for about 60 minutes, so please do not “boil”! Then season the broth to taste and pour it through a sieve.
  2. Heat the broth up to the boiling point again, peel the carrot, root parsley and potatoes and cut into bite-sized cubes, add to the broth and cook gently in an open pot for about 10 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, clean the beans and cut into pieces about 5 cm long, cut the spring onions into small slices, add both with the savory to the pot and cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. During this time, find the meat from the bones, cut into cubes and chop the parsley. When all the vegetables are cooked, briefly heat the meat in the stew, season again and serve the green bean stew sprinkled with parsley.
