Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples, diced
  • 500 g onion(s), diced
  • 300 ml apple cider vinegar
  • 1 handful of barberries, dried, alternatively other sour dried fruit sliced ​​or sultanas
  • 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • ½ tsp chili powder or cayenne pepper, amount to taste
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 piece(s) ginger root, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

Combine all ingredients and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, until the desired consistency is reached. Season to taste and pour into prepared twist-off jars.
