Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 500 g gooseberries, cleaned
- 1 onion(s), diced
- 1 garlic clove(s), finely chopped
- 3 figs, dried, chopped
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 4 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 tbsp fruit vinegar
- 250 g gelling sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cm ginger, grated
- pepper, black
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- 2 pinches of clove powder
- some lemon zest
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with roasted and grilled meat and cheese
Combine all ingredients and simmer in a saucepan for 20 minutes. In the meantime, rinse the jam jars thoroughly, then pour the hot chutney into the prepared jars and seal tightly. It will keep for a long time in the sealed jars.
