simple and suitable for beginners
Pit the plums, cut them into eighths, and toss them in a bowl with 3 tablespoons of cinnamon sugar. Let them stand for a while. In the meantime, make a crumble from the flour, oats, cinnamon sugar, brown sugar, and margarine. Cut the puff pastry in half lengthwise once and twice along the short side to make 6 roughly equal-sized squares per sheet. I use a pizza cutter to cut them; it’s a breeze. Grease a 12-hole muffin tin with butter, place one square of puff pastry in each hole, and fold in the corners slightly so they don’t stick too much to the tin. Divide the plums evenly among the tins, sprinkle generously with crumble, and bake at 190 degrees Celsius (fan oven) for about 35-40 minutes, depending on the oven and the desired degree of browning.
