Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 300 g spelt flour type 630
- 200 g wholemeal spelt flour
- 20 g oat flakes
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp bread spice mix
- 150 g mixed seeds (pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, sesame seeds, linseed, chia seeds)
- 1 bag(s) of dry yeast
- 150 ml water, lukewarm
- 500 ml buttermilk
- ½ tsp turmeric, if desired
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours 45 minutes
For my BBA, I first add the water and buttermilk to the baking pan. Then, combine the flour, oats, salt, bread spice, seed mix, and possibly turmeric, and add them to the BBA baking pan. Then add the dried yeast. Bake the bread using the wholemeal bread program. This recipe is intended for a BBA, but can also be baked in the oven. Then, cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 30-45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) with top/bottom heat and bake the bread for about 60 minutes.
