Blackcurrant balsamic vinegar

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 600 ml balsamic vinegar bianco
  • 500 g currants, black
  • 200 g sugar, white

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

simple and delicious – not too sweet

Pick the currants from the vines and wash them. Dissolve the sugar in the vinegar by heating the pot and stirring frequently. Then add the blackcurrants and simmer for 15 minutes. Stir frequently, and feel free to break the berries to allow the juice to escape. Immediately afterward, strain thoroughly (using a liqueur strainer, cheesecloth, or similar) and pour into sterile bottles while still hot.
