Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg apples
  • 200 g onion(s)
  • 100 g raisins
  • 5 tsp ginger powder
  • 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 400 g sugar
  • 250 ml vinegar (wine vinegar)
  • e.g. cayenne pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 25 minutes

tastes good with grilled meat

Peel the apples and remove the cores. Peel the onion. Cut the apples and onions into pieces and add them to a saucepan with the other ingredients. Cook everything together for 45 minutes. Then let it cool slightly, pour into twist-off jars, and preserve for 25 minutes. The chutney will keep for several months if stored in a dark place.
