fruity, creamy, cheesy

Slice the pork loin and sear it in a mixture of butter and oil. Then place it in a greased, ovenproof dish. Season with salt and pepper. Place peach halves or pineapple slices on top of the meat. Preheat the oven to 170°C (350°F). Mix the crème fraîche, canned fruit juice, marjoram, and grated cheese in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Pour over the meat and fruit and sprinkle with grated cheese, if desired. Bake in the oven for 20 minutes. Serve immediately. This dish can be prepared the day before, but it needs more time in the oven to heat up. Our only side dishes are white bread (for dipping) and a leaf salad.
