Beer schnitzel

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g turkey schnitzel
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 can of mushrooms
  • 250 ml Cremefine
  • 250 ml beer (Kölsch), or light
  • 100 g almond sticks
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • Flour, for binding

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the schnitzel into strips and fry in hot oil. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain the mushrooms, reserving the liquid. Cut the mushrooms into quarters and add them to the meat, frying briefly. Sprinkle with a little flour. Deglaze with the mushroom liquid. Then add the beer and cooking cream, and simmer for about 20 minutes. Season again if desired. Toast the almonds and stir into the sauce. Serve with rice.
