Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 800 g sliced meat (pork, beef or chicken)
- 3 large onions
- 200 g bacon, diced
- 3 gherkins
- 500 ml vegetable stock
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 pinch of marjoram
- 1 pinch of sea salt
- pepper
- 1 pinch(s) lovage
- 500 g mushrooms, brown
- 2 cups of crème fraîche, approx. 150 g – 200 g each
- 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
- n. B. Sauce thickener
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes; Total time approx. 4 hours
This recipe is for a 5.7-liter slow cooker. Dice and sauté the onions, then brown the bacon cubes. Deglaze with the stock and add everything to the slow cooker. Add the meat, seasonings, and diced cucumber to the slow cooker and stir everything together. Simmer on low for 3 hours. After 3 hours, add the cleaned and quartered mushrooms, crème fraîche, and mustard, and simmer on low for another hour. If desired, add a sauce thickener during the last hour to thicken.
