Fried honey bananas

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 bananas
  • 1 lemon(s), grated peel
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp almond(s) (almond sticks)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the bananas, halve them lengthwise, and drizzle with half the lemon juice. Heat the butter in a large, preferably nonstick, frying pan. Fry the banana halves until golden brown on all sides. Carefully remove the banana halves and keep warm. Toast the almond slivers in the remaining frying fat until golden brown, dust with cinnamon, and add honey. Melt over low heat. Stir in the remaining lemon juice. Pour the honey-almond sauce over the fried bananas and serve immediately.
