Pineapple mustard sauce

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg pineapple, fresh, cut into pieces
  • 2 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp mustard powder
  • 120 ml lemon juice
  • 800 g brown sugar
  • 1 pack of Gelfix
  • ½ tbsp mustard (white wine Dijon mustard)
  • pepper
  • 2 small red chili peppers, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Place the pineapple pieces in a saucepan. Mix the gel with a small amount of sugar and stir into the pineapple along with all the other ingredients. Blend everything until smooth. Season with pepper. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then add the remaining sugar. Let it simmer for another three minutes. Pour hot into prepared jars and seal immediately. Place the jars on their lids for five minutes. Makes approximately 8 jars.
