Spätzle pan with minced meat and cheese

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 500 g spaetzle
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, approx. 150 g
  • 1 cup whipped cream, approx. 200 g
  • 1 pack of grated cheese, approx. 200 g
  • 1 onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder, sweet
  • 1 pinch of sugar powder
  • some oil for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Prepare the spaetzle (I always use dried spaetzle) according to the package instructions and set aside. Finely chop the onion and press the garlic through a garlic press. Fry the onion and garlic in a pan with oil. Once the onions are lightly browned, add the minced meat and fry. When the minced meat is cooked through, add the crème fraîche, cream, cooked spaetzle, and seasonings. Season to taste with a little broth, if desired. Once everything is simmering, stir the grated cheese into the minced meat and wait until the cheese has melted into a creamy mass.
