Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes
Crumble the butter over the flour and stir in the sugar until the mixture resembles grated cheese (this works best if you put everything in a mixer with a cutting attachment). Stir in an egg and knead into a dough. Place the smooth dough in the refrigerator and let it rest for an hour. Peel and quarter the apples, which should be as sweet as possible, and cut into thin slices. Fold in the raisins and drizzle with lemon juice. Grate the marzipan with the coarse side of a grater. Roll out the dough and make it large enough to create a 4 cm edge in a springform pan. Place in the greased springform pan. Spread with some apple puree, which you can season with a touch of cinnamon if you like. Place the apples on top, stirring some of the grated marzipan into the apple mixture and leaving some on top of the apples like crumbles. Fold in the edges of the dough. Sprinkle the cake lightly with regular sugar. Bake the tart for 25 minutes in a preheated oven at 175°C (350°F). Remove from the tin, and once cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. It tastes delicious with vanilla cream or crème fraîche, either cold with coffee or lukewarm as a dessert.
