Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 pack of puff pastry (refrigerated section)
  • 6 apples
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • 80 g flour
  • 60 g sugar
  • 50 g butter, melted

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Place the puff pastry in a baking dish and trim off any protruding corners. Peel, halve, and core the apples. Then slice the apples and place them flat-side down on the puff pastry. Combine the eggs, milk, flour, sugar, and butter in a bowl and mix. Pour the liquid mixture into the baking dish and sprinkle the exposed apples with sugar. Place the cake in a preheated oven at 180°C (top/bottom heat) for 45 minutes. The cake can be served with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, for example.
