Apple puree with cream and nuts

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 g apples
  • 125 ml water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 100 g sugar, as needed
  • some cinnamon
  • ½ cup cream, approx. 100 g
  • 50 g nuts, ground

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes

Wash, peel, and quarter the apples, then cook them in a pot of water until soft. Strain the cooked apples. Mix the lemon juice, cinnamon, and sugar into the hot mash and let cool. The sugar can be omitted, depending on the sweetness of the apples or your own taste. Whip the cream until stiff and mix it with the ground nuts into the cold apple mash. Divide the mash among glass bowls and serve garnished with, for example, a dollop of cream and roasted nuts.
