Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 3 chicken breast fillets
- 2 large onions
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- ¼ tsp ginger powder
- ¼ tsp paprika powder
- ½ tsp curry powder
- ⅛ tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 tbsp flour
- 3 tbsp butter
- ½ liter chicken broth
- 1 tbsp mango chutney
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- ½ lemon(s), the juice
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Cut the meat into strips, peel and finely chop the onions and garlic. Mix the spices with the flour well. Fry the onions and garlic in some of the butter until translucent, then remove. Toss the meat well in the seasoned flour until the meat is completely coated. Then add it to the pan and fry. Add the onions and garlic again. Stir in the mango chutney and deglaze with 1/4 liter of chicken stock, using a wooden spoon to skim off any juices from the bottom of the pan. Cover the pan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Pour in the remaining chicken stock and add the crème fraîche, and simmer for another 10 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Simmer briefly until the sauce is completely thickened. Serve hot.
