Kale chips

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g curly kale
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • n. B. Salt
  • 1 tsp vinegar

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

quickly prepared in the oven, crispy and delicious

Preheat oven to 180°C. Remove the kale stem and main rib. Cut the kale leaves into “chip-sized” pieces. Wash and spin thoroughly or pat dry. Spread them out on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Drizzle with about 1 tablespoon of oil and, if desired, about 1 teaspoon of vinegar. Toss the kale leaves lightly with your hands so that all the leaves come into contact with the oil. Spread out in a single layer if possible and bake in the oven for about 10-15 minutes. After the first 5 minutes, remove the baking sheet and mix and turn the leaves so they dry evenly. Check and turn frequently during the last few minutes, or remove them a little earlier if necessary. The chips should be dry and crispy, but not yet brown. Brown, they will taste burnt and bitter. They can also be prepared at a lower temperature, but drying will take a little longer. Remove and add salt to taste.
