Instructions
Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 45 minutes
makes about 12 pieces
For the dough, gently warm the milk. Mix the flour with the yeast. Add the sugar, warm milk, oil, and curd cheese and knead with a hand mixer (dough hook) until a dough forms. Cover the dough and let stand in a warm place for 40 minutes. Meanwhile, for the filling, peel, quarter, core, and dice the apples. Mix the diced apples with the sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice and sauté them in a saucepan over low heat, then let cool slightly. Lightly dust the dough with flour and knead again on a floured work surface. Then roll out into a rectangle (40 x 30 cm) and brush with melted butter. Arrange the apple cubes on top. Roll out the dough from the longer side and cut 3 cm thick slices, which you place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover the rolls with a tea towel and let stand in a warm place for about 20 minutes, then brush with condensed milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes. The snails taste best fresh!
