Ingredients for 20 servings:
- 250 g butter
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 4 eggs
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 150 g dark chocolate shavings
- 125 ml wine (mulled wine)
- 10 tbsp wine (mulled wine)
- 250 g powdered sugar
- 125 g almonds, chopped
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Gradually add the eggs. Mix the flour with the baking powder, sift it over the cake, and fold it in. Finally, add the chocolate and mulled wine. Mix everything together to form a smooth batter. Spread the batter onto a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (160°C fan-assisted oven) for approx. 25 minutes. Allow to cool. For the glaze, mix the icing sugar and mulled wine until smooth, spread it over the pastry, and sprinkle with the almonds. Allow to dry, then cut into triangles.
