Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 100 ml tea (Chai Latte, recipes in the DB)
  • 175 g flour
  • 125 g butter
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, size L
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • ½ tsp ginger powder
  • ¼ tsp clove powder
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 pinch of black pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

12 muffins

Makes 12 muffins. Preheat the oven to 160°C (fan/convection oven). Then prepare the chai latte. Measure out 100 ml (about 1 1/2 fl oz) and let it cool. Mix the flour with the baking powder and spices. In a second bowl, cream the butter with the sugar until light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time. Stir the flour mixture into the butter, alternating with the chai latte, until a smooth batter forms. Pour the batter into the muffin cups and bake for 20 minutes. Let the muffins cool.
