Nougat cinnamon balls

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 100 g nougat (nut nougat)
  • 125 g butter
  • 50 g powdered sugar
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 175 g flour
  • 50 g chocolate glaze
  • 50 g brittle

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Cut the nougat into small cubes and refrigerate. Cream the butter until fluffy and stir in the powdered sugar and cinnamon. Add the egg yolk to the mixture and mix well. Knead in the flour, shape the dough into a log, and refrigerate. Cut the log into approximately 1 cm wide slices, place the nougat cubes on the logs, and cover with the dough. Bake the balls at 140°C (convection oven) for approximately 20 minutes, then let cool. Melt the chocolate glaze in a water bath, then transfer to a freezer bag, cut off the tip, and glaze the balls. Sprinkle the brittle over the moist balls and let dry.
