little work, but lots of enjoyment

The night before, put sugar, crumbled yeast, eggs (mix first), oil, and milk into a large bowl (the order is important!). Cover with foil and leave until the next morning. The next day, add flour and salt and mix everything well. Pour into a dish and let it rise briefly. Place in a cold oven and bake at 170°C for about 1 hour. The jar used holds about 240 ml. Tip: You can also stir in raisins or baking flavoring. Or add crumbles, nuts, etc. to the cake. Or even fruit, e.g. apple and crumble.
