Flapjacks – English oat biscuits

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 150 g butter
  • 25 g beet syrup
  • 230 g oat flakes
  • 90 g brown cane sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

First, place the butter and sugar beet syrup in a saucepan and heat until melted. Then, stir briefly to combine the sugar beet syrup with the butter. Combine the oats with the brown sugar, then stir in the butter and syrup mixture, stirring until the mixture is completely combined with the oats. Next, spread the oat mixture on a baking sheet and spread it out thinly. Bake for approximately 18 minutes at 160°C (320°F). Once the flapjacks are baked, cut them into squares while they’re still hot. Let them cool completely.
