Spelt rice pan with asparagus and bacon cubes

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 220 g spelt rice
  • 600 ml water
  • 320 g asparagus from the jar
  • 150 g bacon cubes
  • 1 tsp vegetable stock powder
  • e.g. margarine for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cook the spelt rice with the water for about 10-15 minutes. Drain the remaining water. Melt the margarine in a pan and fry the bacon bits. Add the spelt rice and fry briefly. Drain the asparagus, chop it finely, add it, and stir. Finally, season with vegetable stock powder and stir briefly again. We served it with lamb’s lettuce.
