Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 150 g quark
  • 6 tbsp milk
  • 6 tbsp oil
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

St. Martin’s Pretzel

First, combine the quark, milk, oil, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt, and egg. Then, sift together the flour and baking powder, then stir half of it into the quark, then knead in the rest of the flour. Shape the dough into pretzels and bake on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 175-200 degrees Celsius (350-400 degrees Fahrenheit). Baking time: approximately 15 minutes.
