Caramel balls or Mars chocolates

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 can condensed milk, sweetened, e.g. Milchmädchen
  • 200 g white chocolate coating
  • 200 g milk chocolate coating
  • 200 g chocolate coating of your choice for coating

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 30 minutes

Place the Milchmädchen tin in a pot of water and let it simmer for about 1.5 hours. Make sure the tin is ALWAYS covered with water to prevent it from bursting. I always put a potholder at the bottom of the pot to prevent it from rattling or potentially breaking. After the time is up, open the tin and melt 200g each of milk chocolate and white chocolate, reheating it in a water bath if necessary. Let cool and form into small balls. Cover with chocolate and decorate as desired.
