simple basic sauce for pasta or minced meat dishes
In a saucepan, whisk together the cream, tomato paste, and wine or water, and heat. Add the herbs and cheese, melt the cheese, and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. This sauce is perfect as a simple pasta sauce or as a base for meat dishes. I like to use it to top schnitzels or for lasagna. Tips: If you like, you can also fry a few diced onions or ham at the beginning. It also works well as a shrimp sauce. In this case, I like to swap the wine for a little brandy.
