Blueberry grapefruit syrup

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g blueberries
  • ½ liter grapefruit juice (100%)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 vanilla pod(s)
  • 1 pack of orange peel
  • 100 ml lime juice
  • 1 kg sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Split the vanilla pod, puree the blueberries, and bring to a boil along with all the other ingredients except the sugar. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Add the sugar and stir, continuing to simmer until dissolved. Strain everything through a sieve, bring back to a boil, and pour into tightly sealed bottles while still hot. Use: As a lemonade, add sparkling or mineral water in a 10:1 ratio, or experiment to see how you like it. Shelf life is approximately 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.
