Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 125 g butter
  • 100 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 50 g cornstarch
  • 150 g flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • flavoring (orange peel flavoring) or grated orange peel
  • 30 g almond(s), grated
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 200 g jam (currant jam)
  • 200 g marzipan – raw mass
  • 3 tsp rum
  • 100 g powdered sugar
  • 350 g cake icing
  • Chocolate, dark

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 13 minutes; Total time approx. 58 minutes

Preheat the oven to 200°C (top/bottom heat). Place the butter, sugar, and vanilla sugar in a bowl and beat until fluffy. First, mix the cornstarch with the flour and baking powder, then stir into the butter. Now add the orange peel flavoring, ground almonds, and milk to form a dough. Divide the dough in half and knead the cocoa powder into one half. Roll out each half of the dough separately on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-13 minutes. In the meantime, gently warm the blackcurrant jam, stir until smooth, and spread half of it over the white dough. Knead together the marzipan, rum, and powdered sugar and roll out to the same size as the white dough. Spread the marzipan with the remaining blackcurrant jam, then place the dark dough sheet on top and press down firmly. Cut the folded sheets into cubes to make 30 pieces. Heat the cake glaze according to the instructions and coat the dough cubes with it. Heat the dark chocolate and dot it in a domino pattern.
