Ingredients for 12 servings:

  • 7 eggs
  • 120 g sugar
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 120 g chocolate shavings
  • 120 g butter, melted
  • 12 chocolate bars (Kinder Bueno)
  • 1 pack of gelatine – fix
  • 500 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 300 ml cream
  • 1 pack of cream stiffener
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar
  • 12 chocolate bars (Happy Hippos)
  • 80 g chocolate shavings

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Rest time approx. 2 hours; Total time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes

For the dough, beat the sugar and eggs for 10 minutes, then sift the flour and baking powder and stir in a tablespoon at a time. Mix in the melted butter. Fold in the grated chocolate. Bake at 180°C for about 30 minutes. Then let the base cool, cut it in half. For the filling, crush the Kinder Bueno with a fork. Beat the cream, gelatin fix, cocoa powder, and vanilla sugar until stiff, then fold into the Kinder Bueno. Then spread the filling on the bottom layer. Place the top cake layer on top and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Beat the cream, cream stiffener, and icing sugar until stiff. Spread over the cake and around the edges. Sprinkle the grated chocolate around the edges and arrange the 12 Hippos on top.
