Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 package of puff pastry (frozen)
  • 1 package of ham, raw
  • possibly pesto
  • possibly Parmesan

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

quick snack: ham in puff pastry

Lay out the puff pastry sheets and let them thaw. Arrange the ham lengthwise on the sheets. Seasoning with pepper and salt is NOT necessary, as the ham already imparts a lot of flavor. Recommendation: Spread the ham very thinly with the solid part of a pesto (i.e. a little oil) or cover it thinly with Parmesan. Roll the sheets up tightly, starting at the narrow end. Cut thin slices (approx. 0.5 cm) from the roll and carefully place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper (leaving some space between them, as the puff pastry will still rise). Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for approx. 15 minutes (monitor for browning). Then serve to your guests while still warm.
