Buttermilk bread

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 500 ml buttermilk
  • 250 ml water
  • 1 cube of yeast, or 2 packets of dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar, maybe only 1/2 tbsp
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 550 g flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 200 g oat flakes, wholegrain
  • 50 g sunflower seeds
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

First, dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water. Then add the other ingredients. Add the buttermilk cold from the refrigerator. Knead everything with a hand mixer until you have a soft dough. The dough will be very moist, like a thick porridge. Pour it into a greased 30 cm loaf pan and score several times. Let it rise for 30 minutes. Then bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for about 1 hour.
