White bread with a subtle hint of garlic
Mix the water, crumbled yeast, and garlic sauce until smooth and let rest for 15 minutes. Then put the flour in a bowl, add the yeast mixture, and salt. Using the dough hook on a hand mixer, knead the dough for 6-8 minutes, gradually adding the oil. Finally, knead the dough by hand on a floured work surface. Divide the dough into 3 pieces and roll each out into strands the length of a loaf pan. Braid the bread into a plait. Place the plait in the greased loaf pan and let it rise for 25 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200°C. Bake the garlic bread for 30 minutes after it has risen. After baking, sprinkle the bread with a little cold water. The bread has only a very subtle garlic flavor, making it a versatile accompaniment with an interesting twist. Instead of sea salt, you can also use herb salt.
