Ideal for burgers! Also suitable as a side dish for salads. Makes 10 buns.
Dissolve the dry yeast in lukewarm water, add the honey, oil, and egg, and whisk everything together well. Mix the flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl and pour in the yeast mixture. Knead all ingredients with a food processor or by hand until you have a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes. Then knead briefly again and divide into 10 equal portions. Shape each piece of dough into a ball and place it on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Cover with a lightly floured cloth or foil and let it rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius (convection oven). Whisk together 1 egg yolk and 20 ml of water, brush the buns with it, and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the buns for 6 minutes, then rotate the baking sheet 180 degrees and bake the buns for another 6 minutes. Once the buns are baked, remove them from the oven, cover them with a damp cloth and let them cool down under the cloth; this will make them nice and soft.
