Spaghetti with onion cream and Parma ham

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 400g spaghetti
  • salt water
  • 4 m.-sized onion(s)
  • 300 ml cream
  • 250 g Parma ham
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper
  • Parmesan

super fast, super easy and still looks great

Cut the Parma ham into squares (approx. 1 x 1 cm). Bring a large pot of water to a boil, add salt, and cook the spaghetti in salted water according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain in a colander and set aside briefly. Melt the butter in the (now empty) pasta pot and sauté the roughly chopped onions until translucent. Pour in the cream and bring to a boil briefly. Turn off the heat and puree everything with a food processor. Season with salt and pepper. Stir the pasta into the sauce and let it warm through. (Add a little more cream or pasta water if the sauce thickens too much). Arrange the pasta on four plates, sprinkle with the Parma ham, and serve. Each person adds their own Parmesan cheese.
