Turkey breast and broccoli casserole with a vegetarian version

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg broccoli
  • 200 g mushrooms
  • 2 onions
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 3 eggs
  • 100 ml whipped cream
  • 150 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 400 g turkey breast fillet(s)
  • 400 g seitan or e.g. Valess fillet pieces

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

low carb, also vegetarian very tasty!

Separate and wash the broccoli florets. Bring a pot of water to a boil and briefly blanch the florets. Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit). Peel and chop the onions and garlic, and finely chop the mushrooms. Cut the turkey breast (or the vegetarian alternative) into smaller pieces. Place the chopped ingredients in a baking dish. Mix the grated cheese with the eggs, milk, and cream and spread over the dish. Bake at 150 degrees Celsius (300 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 30 minutes.
