Markus cheese omelet with oat flakes

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp oat flakes
  • 1 slice(s) of processed cheese
  • 1 tsp chives, dried or frozen
  • 1 tsp fried onions
  • 1 pinch(s) sweet paprika powder
  • 1 pinch of garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 42 minutes

Combine all ingredients and stir thoroughly. Let the mixture sit for at least 15 minutes, but ideally until the oats have absorbed the egg. Then pour the entire mixture into a hot, oiled pan and cook to taste. For a light omelet, cook for about 4 minutes per side, and for a dark omelet, cook for about 6 minutes per side. The omelet can be customized to any flavor. For example, you can use feta cheese, add any dried ingredients, or try delicious variations. I’ve had great success with diced and fried salami, ham, and sucuk.
