Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 2 tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 50 g butter, melted
  • 75 g quark, low-fat
  • 3 eggs
  • 6 tbsp mineral water (a little more if necessary)
  • 75 g sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • possibly banana(s), Nutella, chocolate….
  • powdered sugar

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Beat the butter with the quark, eggs, and mineral water until fluffy. Sift the flour with the baking powder, then stir in the sugar and vanilla sugar. Add the flour mixture, a tablespoon at a time, to the egg mixture and mix everything well. The batter should fall off the spoon easily; if it doesn’t, add a little more mineral water. Now pour 2-3 tablespoons of batter into the center of the waffle iron and bake until golden brown. Serve with melted chocolate, Nutella, or banana slices, or simply dust with powdered sugar.
