Cooked ham casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 slice(s) ham, cooked
  • 500 g minced meat, seasoned
  • 6 tomatoes
  • 3 onions
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 200 g cheese (Emmental)
  • salt and pepper
  • Butter for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 50 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Sauté the sliced ​​mushrooms and finely chopped onions in butter and season with salt and freshly ground pepper. Peel the tomatoes, cut them into pieces, and add them. Remove from the heat. Place the minced meat on the 8 slices of cooked ham (they should be nice, large slices, cut by a butcher), and form into rolls (season the minced meat, if unseasoned, with salt, pepper, garlic, and marjoram). Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, pour the mushroom mixture over them, and bake in the oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for about 30 minutes. Mix the two cups of cream, stir in the cheese, and spread it over the rolls. Return to the oven for another 20 minutes.
