Minced meat rolls with tomato sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g minced meat, mixed
  • 1 bread roll (dried)
  • 200 g tomato paste
  • 5 tomatoes
  • 150 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 1 ball of mozzarella
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 200 g cooked ham, sliced
  • Cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • Vegetables, salted

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Soak the stale bread roll in water and press out the water through a sieve, then knead it together with the minced meat and salted vegetables. Spread the meat mixture onto the slices of cooked ham and roll them up. Place the rolls in a baking dish. If you have any leftover dough, you can shape the meatballs into small pieces and add them. Chop the tomatoes and mushrooms and place them in a pot with tomato paste. Fill with water. The consistency of the sauce can be adjusted to your liking, depending on how thick you want it. Simmer with the mozzarella for about 15 minutes until it is completely dissolved. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the cup of sour cream; do not boil again! Now add the salted vegetables and season with salt and pepper if desired. Pour the sauce over the meat rolls and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven at 200°C for 20 minutes. As a side dish I recommend boiled potatoes or rice.
