Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 6 slices of puff pastry
  • 3 slices of cooked ham
  • 6 slices of pineapple
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 50 g cheese, grated (Gouda)

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Thaw the puff pastry in a spread-out position. Halve the ham slices. Top each puff pastry sheet with ½ slice of ham and a slice of pineapple. Fold the puff pastry corners in towards the center. Whisk the egg yolk with milk, brush the puff pastry with it, and sprinkle with cheese. Place the Copenhagen pastries on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (fan 150°C, gas mark 2) for 20-25 minutes. The Copenhagen pastries can be served hot or cold.
