Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg strawberries
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine the water and sugar in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer for about five minutes until a sugar syrup forms. Then let it cool. Wash, hull, and puree the strawberries. Add the syrup and lemon juice and puree briefly again. The puree can now be used in various recipes, such as sorbet, cocktails, baked goods, etc.
