Fruit leather

Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 6 kiwis
  • 2 mangoes
  • 250 g yogurt

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 8 hours; Total time approx. 8 hours 10 minutes

The quantity given here makes approx. 4 baking trays

Peel the fruit and puree it very finely in a blender. Mix in the yogurt in the blender as well. Line a baking tray with non-stick foil and spread the fruit puree very thinly on it. Place in the oven at 50°C fan-assisted oven for about 8 hours, until it is no longer sticky. Remove the fruit layer from the tray and foil, roll it up thinly, and cut into equal-sized, bite-sized pieces. Store in the refrigerator. Tastes best when the strips are rolled up again and eaten lengthwise. The amount given here makes about 4 baking trays. Variations: You can omit the yogurt and just let the pure fruit puree dry. Spread the fruit puree on the tray in different thicknesses and let it dry. Mix 250g raspberries and half a pineapple and let it dry, or use 250g strawberries and half a pineapple. Use a can of apricots or 5 fresh apricots and 50g desiccated coconut, or process 5 bananas with lemon juice to taste. Try all sorts of fruit combinations. There are no limits to your imagination.
