Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 375 g wheat flour
  • 1 packet of dry yeast with baking powder (yeast dough garant)
  • 50 g sugar
  • 180 ml low-fat milk (for the dough)
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 60 g margarine (half-fat margarine)
  • 2 ½ kg apples, sour, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 500 ml low-fat milk (for the pudding)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar (for sprinkling after baking)
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pack of pudding powder, vanilla flavor

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

low-fat, suitable for WW

Mix the yeast dough Garant with the flour thoroughly. Then add the sugar, 180 ml milk, salt, and low-fat margarine to the flour mixture. The milk and fat do not need to be heated. Knead everything well into a smooth dough, adding a little more flour if necessary so that the dough easily separates from the bowl and does not stick. The dough does not need to rise! Immediately roll out the dough thinly on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, filling the entire baking sheet. Cover and let rest for only 15 minutes. Meanwhile, cook the vanilla pudding with the 500 ml milk, add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar, mix, and let cool slightly, stirring occasionally. A skin should not form. Cover the rolled-out dough very tightly with the peeled apple slices and spread the pudding (which should not be too hot) evenly on top. The apple slices should not be sliced too thinly, and the batter should be covered thickly! Finally, beat the 2 egg whites until stiff and spread over the pudding. Bake the cake for about 20 minutes at 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit) until golden brown. Once it has cooled slightly, sprinkle the vanilla sugar mixed with the cinnamon over the cake. Of course, you can also use plums or other fruit, if desired. The cake is quick to prepare because no rising time is required! For WWers: 16 servings = 2.4 püntjes; 12 servings = 3.3 püntjes per serving!
