Walnut nests

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 110 g butter, soft
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • ½ packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 50 g ground walnuts
  • 175 g flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 70 g walnuts, chopped
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cream the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, maple syrup, and egg until fluffy. Combine the ground walnuts, flour, baking powder, and salt and stir into the butter and egg mixture. Using a pastry bag, pipe flat nests or flowers onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Warm the honey and mix with the chopped walnuts. Using two teaspoons, place small mounds in the center of the nests. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C (fan oven) for approximately 15-18 minutes.
