one of my interpretations of the theme “Jump into the mouth”
Halve the ham slices crosswise and top the steaks with them. Place pieces of sun-dried tomatoes on top, fold them together, and secure them with toothpicks. Season with pepper. Heat the oil and fry the saltimbocca for about 2 minutes on each side, remove from the heat, cover, and set aside. There are two ways to prepare them: 1. Prepare a sauce, e.g. tomato and olive sauce (recipe in my profile), in which the saltimbocca are braised for 5 minutes. Add pasta and you have a main course for 2 people. 2. Serve them as part of a small Italian meal as a meat course with vegetables and bread. To do this, after frying, they need to be covered and sautéed for another 5 minutes over medium heat. This recipe will then serve 4 people. Remove the toothpicks before serving!
