Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 3 egg whites
  • 200 g sugar, fine
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp lemon zest, untreated, grated
  • 200 g ground almonds
  • 1 pack of wafers

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Christmas cookies

Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff, then gradually add the sugar. Beat until glossy. Fold in the lemon zest and then the ground almonds. Place the wafers on a baking sheet. Drop the almond mixture onto the wafers using 2 teaspoons. Bake at 130°C for about 20 minutes. If you like, you can decorate the almond kisses with melted chocolate. These kisses are also delicious outside of the Christmas season.
